OBSIDIAN WINE CO.
Obsidian Wine Co. planted their vineyard in 1999 amid red volcanic soils shot with black obsidian, and among abandoned walnut trees, overlooking a dormant volcano in Red Hills Lake County. Today, they farm both the highest and lowest elevations of the Mayacamas Range and cooper their own barrels from the Oak forest of Tokaj, Hungary. Voicebox worked with Obsidian Wine Co. to reposition the brand and invite new consumers to experience this next great frontier in California winemaking. We redesigned the brand packaging, print collateral, and website and supported the launch of several new product innovations including Pezsgo, Máslás and a Pear Cider/Sauvignon Blanc blend.

THE RABBIT HOLE | BRAND INNOVATION
The Rabbit Hole was created as a platform for the Obsidian Wine Co. team to express their true spirit of innovation. The Rabbit Hole is a warren of curious winemaking experimentation where new techniques are explored and combined with novel materials from vineyard and forest to discover new renditions, often using traditional winemaking methods. What emerges is always tasty, delightful, and downright interesting.
